Core Values Marketing was built by Joshua Bloom and RL Porter. One comes from engineering systems for the Department of Defense. The other from growing businesses and closing deals. Together, they run the kind of marketing operation most HVAC companies never get access to.
Joshua holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration. Before Core Values Marketing, he spent over a decade managing IT projects for the Department of Defense, where he earned his Project Management Professional certification and learned what it actually means to deliver complex systems on time, under pressure, with real accountability.
He brings that same discipline to marketing. Where most agencies operate on vibes and vanity metrics, Joshua builds processes: audits with measurable baselines, campaigns with defined success criteria, and monthly reporting that tracks outcomes, not just activity.
His background in systems engineering is exactly why the CVM approach works. Marketing is a system. When all the parts are built correctly and connected intentionally, it compounds. When they're not, it leaks.
RL has spent years in the trenches of business growth — not as a consultant watching from the outside, but as someone who has built sales pipelines, developed markets, and figured out what actually moves the needle for a growing company.
He understands that marketing only matters when it connects to revenue. Every strategy he's involved in is evaluated from the sales side: does this generate real conversations, does it close, does it scale? That perspective keeps the work grounded in outcomes instead of aesthetics.
Where Joshua builds the system, RL makes sure the system is pointed at the right target. The combination is what lets Core Values Marketing do work that is both technically sound and commercially effective.
There's no shortage of agencies happy to take a monthly retainer and send a PDF of impressions. Most HVAC company owners we talk to have been through at least one of those experiences. Paid for months, saw nothing they could trace to a call, couldn't get a straight answer about what was actually happening.
We built Core Values Marketing because we thought we could do it differently. Not just better looking ads or better SEO, but a fundamentally different way of running a client relationship: clear baselines, clear ownership, clear results. You own everything we build. You see everything we do. And if it stops working, you're not locked in.
The name isn't branding. It's the actual operating principle. We either operate in a way we'd be proud to put our names on, or we don't take the work.
These aren't bullet points from a brand guide. They're the specific decisions we make repeatedly that either build trust or break it.
Your website, ad accounts, rankings, and content belong to you from day one. No holdbacks, no access restrictions, no leverage.
Every ad, every page, every post goes to you for review before it goes live. You have final say. Always.
We track rankings, calls, and booked jobs. Not impressions. Not reach. The numbers that show up on your dispatch board.
We don't take dental offices or law firms to fill seats. Every tool, template, and strategy we have was built for HVAC specifically.
If we're not the right agency for your market or situation, we'll tell you. We'd rather turn down a bad fit than take money and underdeliver.
You work with Joshua and RL, not an account manager reading notes about your business. When something matters, you reach the people making decisions.
Tell us your market and what you're working with. We'll look at your current setup and give you an honest read on the biggest opportunity. No sales pitch, no obligation.
